FFA will have a meeting Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. at Darden Harvest Park. There will be games and events for people to participate including a cornhole tournament that anyone can sign up for, a Halloween costume contest, and they will be serving food.
“Our students have done a great job planning for this event,” FFA advisor Dylan Bacon said. “It will also be great to see everyone coming out for an FFA event, making friends and having a good time.”
The FFA has a meeting every month where kids get to take care of chapter business, eat food, fellowship with each other, and participate in events.
“If you want to be involved in FFA you can totally show up and have fun,” sophomore Jaclyn Brandon said.” I’m most definitely excited.”
One of the FFA’s prime focuses is on living a healthy lifestyle. This meeting is being held to encourage kids to be active, get outside, and build relationships with one another.
“Healthy people are better equipped to tackle the challenges of everyday life,” Bacon said. “There are many ways we can encourage folks to live healthy, [and] this is a fun way to make that happen.”
