Name: Olivia Harwell
Grade: 11th
Extracurriculars: Theater and Yearbook
What I enjoy doing: Going to church, being around loved ones, photography, nature adventures, going to the movies, and trying new things
Talents: Sign language (performing with music and just communicating), I play a little piano, and I do well with public speaking
Future plans: I plan to get a Bachelor’s in Education, at least an Associate’s in Entrepreneurship or Business, and a degree in Education. I would to eventually become a stay-at-home mom.
What’s on my TV: Always Disney, TV show Reba, Lone Star Law, Alaskan Bush People, or the occasional Avatar movie
What I drive: I will be driving a Ford Edge as soon as I get my license. I don’t know much about cars but so long as it drives me to and from work and school, I don’t really mind.
Favorite movies: Passion of Christ, The Princess and the Frog, The Book of Life, or Rio
Favorite music: Vibey Christian music (“My Refuge” by River and Robots), Disney music, or literally any type of music from the 60s to the 90s
Favorite website or social media: My favorite website is probably thesaurus.com. It has saved me from one too many boring papers
Superstitions/Phobias: I’m VERY afraid of heights. Like deathly afraid. I’m also not very partial to spiders or roaches
Worst habit: Procrastination or getting emotionally involved
I would love to trade places for a day with: I would love to trade places with a deaf person. I know it sounds funny but what I take for granted is something they haven’t been able to experience before. I also want the pride of their culture. I’d love to see the world through their perspective and encounter what they encounter on a day to day basis.
First job: Chick-fil-A here in Lindale.
Favorite meal: Definitely Chicken, cheesy potatoes, and green beans with bacon
Favorite drink: Big Pineapple. It’s like another version of Big Blue or Big Red
Talent I would most like to have: I would love to be able to sing way better than I do and always keep and open mind and positive attitude no matter how hard life gets
Favorite celebrity:Haha, is Jesus an okay answer? Second to Him, though, is Dwayne Johnson. I grew up watching his movies and still do to this day.
My hero: My grandfather. He never complained, he was stronger than anyone I’ve ever met, always interested in learning everything he could, loving to anyone and everyone, he was able to talk to strangers like he had know them his whole life, the most motivated person, strong willed, absolutely adorable, and never ever let you leave without saying I love you. My other hero is my pastor. That man has brought me from dirt and grime to a Jesus-praising, people-loving, open-hearted, faith-driven Christian that I am. I owe so much more than I could ever give to these two people.
Hobbies or interests: I love photography. Landscape, portrait, you name it. I always try to improve my photo taking skills whenever I am given the chance. I also love learning new things. I believe that you don’t really live if you keep yourself glued to one or two things. My grandpa would always say “You don’t have to like it but at least you tried it so now you know”
