Junior Christian Lopez was named the LEAD (Lindale Eagle Award of Distinction) winner for the month of December. Lopez was specifically chosen by Principal Jeremy Chilek for his hard work and excellence.
“Christian is the type of young man who is always doing what he is supposed to do,” Chilek said. “He is a great leader for our school and I am very proud of him.”
Lopez plays football for the LHS athletic program and is known to be a student of quality character who leads by example.
“It means a lot to me [to get the award],” Lopez said. It means that they are seeing all the hard work that not just me but other students are doing. [I like going to Lindale] because of the culture. It doesn’t seem like just a school. It seems like a family.”
