Volleyball Wins Against Kilgore

Lindale Volleyball took the court Friday night at home against district opponent Kilgore High School. The Lady Eagles were victorious in three sets with scores of 25-12, 25-19, and 25-19. Leading the attack was Senior Middle Skylar Wyllie with 8 kills, 1 block, and 2 aces. Shelbi Steen added 7 kills, 3 blocks, 4 digs, and 2 aces. Liz Hutchens put up 4 kills, and Alondra Romero had 3 kills and 2 digs. Brenley Philen also added 3 kills and 2 blocks. Kalaya Pierce had 21 assists, 5 digs and an ace. Libero Marleigh Thurman had 6 digs and 2 aces  for the Lady Eagles. Lindale’s Varsity is now 18-0 overall and 5-0 in district play. The Lady Eagles will play Bullard Tuesday at home at 5:30 pm.

Junior Varsity lost their first set 28-30, but won their next two sets 25-21 and 25-21.  Brooke Tweedell led with 8 kills, 2 blocks. Kayli Vickery had 6 kills, 2 blocks. Keatyn Bills added 5 kills in the win. Setter Anna Ivy had an impressive 19 assists on the night. Kennedy Weesner was strong defensively for th JV Lady Eagles. JV will play at 4:30 Tuesday at home against Bullard.
Freshman A team won 25-23 and 25-6. Tatum Woodard had an impressive night with 3 kills, 4 assists, 15 service points, and 5 aces. Fynlie Tidwell had 4 kills and 2 blocks. Landry Laing added 4 kills. Bridget Woodrum had 3 kills. Dylan Adams had 2 kills, 2 blocks, and 8 assists. Freshman A will play at 4:30 Tuesday at home against Bullard, and Freshman B Team will take on Whitehouse Tuesday following A Team’s game.
