Lindale Volleyball was back in action Saturday at home against Elysian Fields and Central Heights. Varsity Volleyball faced Elysian Fields for their first match of the day winning in three straight sets 25-14, 25-13, 25-16. Setter Kalya Pierce controlled the action with 18 assists and 1 ace. Skylar Wyllie led the attack with 11 kills and Shelbi Steen put up 6 kills.
Next, the Lady Eagles Varsity faced off against a strong Central Heights squad, and once again came out on top with scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-17. Shelbi Steen had a great showing with 17 kills and 3 digs. Skylar Wyllie put up 4 kills, and 5 blocks. Kalaya Pierce stayed consistent with 18 assists in match two.
Junior Varsity also beat Elysian Fields after losing the first set 21-25 then winning 25-17, 25-11. Kayli Vickery had 7 kills, 4 blocks and Reagan Cates had 6 kills to lead the Lady Eagles attack. In the second match JV lost to Central Heights 21-25 then turned this around with 25-17 and 25-14 wins. Brooke Tweedell led with 6 kills and 1 block, and Reagan Cates had 4 kills. Anna Ivy had a strong setting performance in both matches.
Freshmen A team beat Central Heights handily with scores of 25-8, 25-8. Landry Laing led with 4 kills. Oliviva Gary was clutch from the service line with 4 aces and Madison Luster was a tough server with 3 aces.
Freshmen B team rounded out the day with 25-21, 25-23 set scores for a win. Joey Forsyth stood out with 4 kills and 4 blocks. Allie Davenport led the team from the service line with 5 aces.
The Lady Eagles are back in action Friday at home against Beckville and Van.
