Varsity Volleyball defeated Royse City on the road Friday night to improve to 3-0 in district play and 22-12 overall. Scores were 26-24, 25-17, and 25-21. Senior Harleigh Thurman had 12 assists, junior Kalaya Pierce had eight assists, and junior Shelbi Steen added seven assists and 10 kills. Junior Skylar Wyllie had four kills and five blocks and sophomore Alondra Romero put up three kills and four blocks.
The Junior Varsity squad also came out on top, winning 25-23 and 25-18. The Lady Eagles brought great energy and composure in the win.
The Lady Eagles are at home Tuesday night against Texas High with the freshmen and JV playing at 5:00 and Varsity following at 6:30 pm. Tuesday is Junior High Night, while Friday is Homecoming for LHS.
