Volleyball Excels Over Quitman, Freshman Place in Tourney

Lindale volleyball won at all levels Friday night at home against Quitman. Varsity defeated the Lady Bulldogs in three sets to bring their record to 16-11.

Junior Marleigh Thurman stepped up with solid serve receive and defensive effort. Juniors Liz Hutchens and Skylar Wyllie were instrumental on the attack for the Lady Eagles.

Saturday the freshmen Lady Eagles brought home a third place finish in the Quitman Junior Varsity Tournament. Lindale defeated All Saints in 3 sets, lost to Edgewood, and finished the day with an exciting win over Van. Brooke Tweedell had 11 kills, four blocks and four aces. Bailey Wood had eight kills and three blocks. Keatyn Bills had eight kills and four aces. Mary Ann Hicks had five kills and three aces. Kennedy Weesner four kills and six aces. Setter Eva Yates had 14 assists and Hannah Morris had eight. Gwen May played solid defense for the Lady Eagles.
