The town of Lindale gathered together Saturday October 12 to watch the annual Country Fest Parade. The parade participants consisted of community businesses, sports and school programs.
“I went to the parade to support my little sister as she gathered candy that was thrown out from the floats,” Junior Rowan Jenkins said. “My favorite part was seeing a fellow classmate dressed as an ice cream cone. I also enjoyed seeing everyone so enthusiastic about performing in the parade.”
The LHS FFA, Football players and homecoming queen were represented on floats at the parade. The parade began with the band, followed by the Twirlers and Star Steppers and ended at the E.J. Moss Campus where Country Fest took place.
“It was awesome to perform in the parade, even though it was hot,” Junior Star Stepper Brooklynn Vanwinkle said. “I felt famous, because afterwards people came up to me and said they saw me in the parade.”
