Baseball is Area Bound

This past weekend the baseball team finished the series with Rudder by winning both games on Saturday. An electric atmosphere at Eagle Stadium helped keep the momentum. Game summary provided by game-changer is below.

Lindale Eagles Varsity sailed to an easy victory over Bryan Rudder 10-2 on Saturday

Lindale Eagles Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when a sacrifice bunt by Chase Rozell scored one run for Lindale Eagles Varsity.

Lindale Eagles Varsity notched four runs in the third inning.  Lindale Eagles Varsity’s offense in the inning came from singles by Theron Brown and Kollin McCartney and a sacrifice fly by Jamey Richey.

Sebastian Coulter was the winning pitcher for Lindale Eagles Varsity. He went seven innings, allowing two unearned runs on four hits and striking out one.

Lindale Eagles Varsity collected nine hits.  Matt Aubuchon and Travis Brown all collected multiple hits for Lindale Eagles Varsity.  Brown and Aubuchon each collected two hits to lead Lindale Eagles Varsity.

Lindale Eagles Varsity was victorious over Bryan Rudder, 6-2

Lindale Eagles Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning.  Chase Rozell singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Lindale Eagles Varsity tallied three runs in the fifth inning.  Lindale Eagles Varsity’s big bats in the inning were led by a single by Jamey Richey and an error on a ball put in play by Brandon Burckel.

Theron Brown got the win for Lindale Eagles Varsity. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out one and walking one.  Jacob Philpot threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Philpot recorded the last out to earn the save for Lindale Eagles Varsity.

Kollin McCartney led Lindale Eagles Varsity with two hits in four at bats.  McCartney led Lindale Eagles Varsity with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.

We will play Magnolia in the Area Round. Games will all be played at Nutrabolt Stadium in Bryan, TX. Game times are Friday at 5:00Friday at 7:00, and Saturday(if necessary) at 11:00.
