Volleyball is 4-0

Last night the Lindale Lady Eagles moved to 4-0 in district play and, yet again, made another clean sweep of a district opponent. Lindale defeated Ennis at all three levels on the road. Freshmen scores were 25-11 and 25-8, and JV scores were 25-21 and 25-22.

Varsity handled Ennis in straight sets with scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-15. Leading the Lady Eagles at the net were Hannah Knox (9 kills, 6 digs, and 3 aces) and Shelbi Steen (9 kills, 7 digs). Brina Kuslak, London Reue, and Lorin Reue each had 5 kills a piece in the three set victory. Setters Harleigh Thurman and Kalaya Pierce kept the ball moving well; Thurman had 16 assists and 4 digs, and Pierce had 14 assists and 5 digs. Libero Alisha Kiser had 23 digs and 2 aces as well.

Friday night’s home match will determine who ends the first round of district play 5-0 as Lindale takes on Whitehouse. Varsity will begin at 4:30, and JV/Freshmen will follow after. Plan on packing the stands and supporting your Lady Eagles on Friday night!
