This weekend, the Lindale Lady Eagles finished third place in the silver bracket at the Berkner High School Volleyball Tournament.
On Thursday, Lindale went 2-1 on the day, defeating Newman Smith HS (25-22, 21-25, 25-16) and falling short to a tough Plano High team (16-25, 12-25). They ended the day by beating Longview for the second time to go into bracket play for Saturday (25-23, 25-19).
On Saturday, the Lady Eagles went 1-2. The first match of the day was against Little Elm, and Lindale fell short 18-25 both sets. Winning or losing that match determined which bracket they continued with, and so Lindale beat Royse City in the first round of the silver bracket 18-25, 25-16, and 25-22. Next up was a tough Lewisville team in the semi-finals of bracket play. The Lady Eagles took one set away but were unable to pull out a win, losing 21-25, 25-15, 12-25.

– Senior libero Alisha Kiser: 10 aces, 8 assists, and 112 digs
-Junior middle Brina Kuslak: 25 kills, 9 blocks
-Junior hitter Hannah Knox: 30 kills, 4 blocks, and 18 digs
-Sophomore setter Harleigh Thurman: 30 digs and 66 assists
-Freshman setter Kalaya Pierce: 26 digs and 50 assists
-Freshman hitter Shelbi Steen: 21 kills, 6 blocks, and 25 digs
The Lady Eagles will take on the Gilmer Lady Buckeyes at home on Tuesday night. Freshmen and JV will play at 5:00 with Varsity beginning around 6:00.
