Lady Eagles VB Place 3rd at Berkner

This weekend, the Lindale Lady Eagles finished third place in the silver bracket at the Berkner High School Volleyball Tournament.
On Thursday, Lindale went 2-1 on the day, defeating Newman Smith HS (25-22, 21-25, 25-16) and falling short to a tough Plano High team (16-25, 12-25).  They ended the day by beating Longview for the second time to go into bracket play for Saturday (25-23, 25-19).
On Saturday, the Lady Eagles went 1-2.  The first match of the day was against Little Elm, and Lindale fell short 18-25 both sets.  Winning or losing that match determined which bracket they continued with, and so Lindale beat Royse City in the first round of the silver bracket 18-25, 25-16, and 25-22.  Next up was a tough Lewisville team in the semi-finals of bracket play.  The Lady Eagles took one set away but were unable to pull out a win, losing 21-25, 25-15, 12-25.
Here are some highlights and cumulative stats from over the course of the tournament:
– Senior libero Alisha Kiser: 10 aces, 8 assists, and 112 digs
