Students Create Memory Chain for Sophomore, Services Announced

Landrie Hay StuCo Co-President, Sadie Akin StuCo Secretary, and Addison Smith StuCo Co-President assist students in filling out memory slips for Lorenzo DeLeon, a sophomore who passed away this week.

Students filled out sympathy notes today in memory of Lorenzo DeLeon, a sophomore who passed away last week.  The papers will be linked together as a memory chain and presented to his family.

“We know the school and the community is mourning Lorenzo,” StuCo co-president Landrie Hay said. “We wanted to help his family and help them know that the community supports them and is behind them during this troubling time.”

Services for DeLeon will be as follows:
Visitation:  Tuesday, 2/22 from 6pm-8pm at Rhone Funeral Home in Palestine
Funeral: 2/23 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Palestine
