Our students both at the high school and junior high competed in and hosted the UIL Region XXI High School Band Solo and Ensemble Contest and the Region XXI Junior High Band Solo and Ensemble Contest Friday and Saturday. This event had nearly 2,800 students on our high school and junior high campuses over two days. The judges, visiting directors and parents were very complimentary of our facilities and the way our students both ran and competed in the contest. Our students had a very successful day. The junior high earned 342 medals and the high school earned 130 medals with 70 students in 29 events advance to the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest to be held in Austin in May.
