The Lindale Lady Eagles volleyball team defeated John Tyler in four sets Tuesday night at Tyler Junior College’s Wagstaff Gymnasium. Scores were 21-25, 25-8, 25-9, and 26-24. Junior Shelbi Steen recorded 16 kills, 10 digs, and eight assists on the night. Senior London Reue had 12 kills, seven service points, and two aces. Senior Jaci Philpot put up nine kills, four blocks and five digs. Middle Blocker junior Skylar Wyllie posted six kills and six blocks. Harleigh Thurman had a big night with 20 assists, 10 digs, 18 service points and two aces. Junior Kalaya Pierce rounded out the night with 14 assists and four digs. The Lady Eagles will face Red Oak in the Area Round at Kaufman High School at 6 pm Friday.
