The high school hosted the high school All-Region clinic on January 25 and 26. Band students in the region attended the clinic to both practice and perform on stage.
“Hard work is always paid off and this year is no different,” band director Weston Fisher said. “The Lindale kids who made the band worked hard alongside their directors and private teachers and their hard work paid off.”
In order to attend this clinic, students first have to first make the band by going to the All-Region tryout December 8 at the Tyler Junior College. If they are able to advance they then can go to the all-region clinic.

The clinic has two different bands known as symphonic and concert band. Both bands are given a total of two days to practice ending with a concert at the end of the clinic.
“My favorite part of the event was watching the students hard work pay off as they found out they made one of the bands,” Fisher said. “[As for the clinic], it was watching the students really dig into and get into the music they are rehearsing.”
This event and solo and ensemble are the two main events/competitions that Lindale continues to have the most competitors each year. More than 20 students from Lindale attended the All-Region clinic this year.
“I truly enjoyed being given the opportunity to accept the challenge of learning a large amount of music in two days,” sophomore Matthew Hooge said. “I also enjoyed spending time with people that I otherwise would have never met in my life.”
