Volleyball Finishes Strong Season at Area Game

Last night in the Area championship match of the State Playoffs, the Lindale Lady Eagles lost to Red Oak in three sets with scores of 13-25, 20-25, and 20-25.  It was a hard fought, tough match between the two teams.

Leading the Lady Eagles at the net was middle blocker Brina Kuslak with 8 kills and 2 blocks.  Following her was outside hitter Shelbi Steen with 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 9 digs.  Middle blocker Skylar Wyllie led in blocking with 4 blocks.  Harleigh Thurman helped led the offense with 21 assists.  Jennifer Moyer led the defensive effort with 26 digs.

Even though the season ended with a loss, the Lady Eagles have so much to be proud of and successes to celebrate from this season. Lindale finished the year with an impressive record of 33-9, won the Longview and Tyler tournaments, finished second place in district, and were Bi-District Champions with a solid win over Lufkin.  We will greatly miss our seven seniors next year: Cassie Quattlebaum, Kia Williams, Jennifer Moyer, Hannah Knox, Brina Kuslak, Cailynn Widemon, and Mykayla Walker.  They have made a lasting impact on this program and have set the tone for our future Lady Eagles.
