Volleyball Wins Bi-District Game to Advance to Area

On Tuesday night, in a packed Robert E. Lee gymnasium, the Lindale Lady Eagles battled with the Lufkin Lady Panthers for the Bi-District Championship. Lindale came out victorious in four sets with scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-16, and 25-19.  Leading Lindale at the net were Brina Kuslak (11 kills, 2 blocks), Skylar Wyllie (10 kills, 3 blocks), and Shelbi Steen (9 kills, 2 blocks, 10 digs).  Harleigh Thurman had 27 assists and 4 kills on the night, and Kalaya Pierce added 17 assists and 6 digs.  Libero Jennifer Moyer led the defensive effort with 26 digs in the four set battle.

The Lady Eagles will face Red Oak in the Area round of playoffs on Friday at 6 p.m. at Terrell High School.
